Japanese Bamboo

There is something very curious that happens with Japanese Bamboo:

"You plant the seed, fertilize it, water it daily, and nothing happens during the first few months. Actually, nothing happens to the seed during the first seven years. To the point that the inexperienced farmer would start to think the seeds he aquired were infertile.

Yet, during the seventh year, the plant begins to grow for 6 weeks without stopping until reaching about 30 meters. Did it all grow in just six weeks?

primeros meses nada sucede. En realidad nada sucede con la semilla
